As this can be risky, the Windows operating system removes these privileges by default. If you experience issues with some applications that are trustworthy, you can manually grant them administrator rights to fix the issue.
This is how you do that:
- Select the Compatibility tab.
- Click Change settings for all users.
- Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as administrator.
- Click Apply.
If you would like to set program permissions only temporarily, right-click on the desktop icon of the application (or the executable file in the installation directory) and select Run as Administrator from the application's context menu.
