Information about 2-Step verification

2-Step verification is an optional* security feature for your Ubisoft account.

Once you have set it up, you will be asked for a unique code every time you log into your account.

Your code will be randomly generated and sent to you via Email, or through a mobile app**.
If someone attempts to connect to your account while 2-Step verification is active, they will be asked to provide a code that is only sent to you on an application on your personal phone or email.

They should not be able to access your account if they do not have access to your chosen verification method. You will also receive an email from us informing you about potentially suspicious activity on your account.

As we appreciate you may not want to enter a new code every time you log into a trusted computer, you also have the option to manage trusted devices.
2-Step verification is not currently available across all services. However, it is used across some of our key services that contain your personal information, like Ubisoft Connect. As part of our efforts to secure our players' accounts, we are working to deploy 2-Step verification across more Ubisoft destinations in the future.

Please note that you do not need to have access to your verification or recovery codes to contact us. In the interest of security, we will take you through an alternate Account Ownership Verification process before we make any changes to your account.

* While this feature is optional, it is required if you would like to play Rainbow Six: Siege competitively.

** A valid mobile number needs to be added to your Ubisoft Account.
