Why am I not able to use any of the True3D boards and pieces?

QUESTION:

Why am I not able to use any of the True3D boards and pieces?

ANSWER:

Chessmaster 9000 requires at least a 16MB video card to view the True3D boards and pieces. Additionally, this video card (and its drivers) must be compliant with DirectX 8.1. If any of these requirements are not met, then you will not be able to use the True3D boards and pieces in Chessmaster 9000. Additionally, even if your video card does meet these minimum requirements, you may not be able to use any of the enhanced 3D effects such as reflections, shadows and/or bump mapping. This is also dependent upon the capabilities of your video card.
