Reinstalling Supporting Software

Some games rely on supporting software in order to run, and may suffer from crashes if these are not correctly installed.
 
In this case, we recommend that you reinstall these dependency files from your game's installation folder:
 
• Navigate to the directory in which your game is installed. If you installed Ubisoft Connect in the default location, it will mostly likely be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\[The game that is crashing]\Support
 
The following is an example of the directory for The Crew:
 
 
• The Support folder should contain another folder called Software. Open this folder. 
 
 
• Inside, you will find installer packages for all the supporting software your game requires. It will also include a Ubisoft Connect installer, please ignore this one. 
 
• Please reinstall the other software contained in that folder. You may be prompted that you already have newer versions installed - in that case, cancel the installation and move on to the next.

• After the installation is finished, please restart your PC and test the game again. 

Please be aware that not all games require these files, and may not have a Support folder.
