Why am I having issues with missing or inconsistent sound?

If you are experiencing missing or inconsistent sound while playing Tetris Ultimate on Xbox One, you may need to adjust the audio settings on your console.

1. Check that the TV audio is not muted and is at a reasonable volume.
2. Verify that your external or built-in TV speakers are properly connected and turned on.

How to check your TV and HDMI connections:

1. Press the Xbox button to return to the Home screen.
2. Press the Menu button on the controller.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Display & sound.
5. Select TV connection.

If TV connection is set to DVI, you’ll need an optical audio cable for sound. If you’re using an HDMI cable, switch your TV connection to HDMI (auto-detect).
Note: If your screen goes dark after you select HDMI or DVI and the screen does not reset after 30 seconds, try the steps below.

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your Xbox One wireless controller.

Verify that HDMI audio is not set to “Off” (or dimmed) under DIGITAL AUDIO.

If your active game or app becomes quiet or inaudible when you’re using Kinect in party chat or on a Skype call, your Chat mixer may be set to focus only on the conversation. To adjust the level of sound while communicating, adjust the Chat mixer settings:

1. Press the Xbox button to return to the Home screen.
2. Press the Menu button on the controller.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Display & sound.
5. Select Chat mixer.
6. Select one of the available options.

If issues persist after trying these steps, rest assured that this should be resolved in an upcoming patch.
