Temporary lock on my Ubisoft account

My account was temporarily locked due to fraudulent activity. What does this mean?

ANSWER:


As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and maintain the security of player accounts, we temporarily lock accounts as soon as fraudulent activity surrounding transactions is detected.

This preserves the integrity of previously compromised accounts and allows us to help you increase their security going forward.

We strongly recommend changing your password and activating 2-Step Verification once your account has been unlocked.

To avoid further locks being placed on your account, please:
• never share your credentials with third parties.
• check that you can afford the transaction before placing an order.
• avoid multiple purchase attempts if the first transaction has been declined.
• never purchase in-game currency from an unauthorized reseller.

The functionality of your account (including the ability to make purchases) may be limited and a permanent sanction may be placed on your account if fraudulent purchase activity is detected on your account again.

While your account is locked, you will be unable to access any Ubisoft websites, games or services.

Please note that we are not able to remove the lock placed on your account. You will receive an email once the sanction has been lifted from your account.

If you have not recently attempted to make any purchases, your account may be locked for a different reason, including too many failed login attempts.
