In addition to the default control scheme for Ground gameplay, the game offers two pre-set control schemes for Vehicles and Helicopters - Classic and Shooter.
You can switch between them freely using the settings found in Options > Gamepad > Vehicles / Helicopters, accessible from the main menu.
