Securing your account with 2-Step verification (mobile app)

How can I enable 2-Step verification on my mobile device?

RESPONSE:


To enable 2-Step verification on your smartphone or tablet:

• Navigate to the Security page.
• Click Activate in the 2-Step verification section.
• Select the Authenticator app tab then click Choose.

• You will be prompted to add a recovery phone number to your account. This will also help to recover your Ubisoft Account by text.

 
• Once the recovery phone number is successfully added, an email with further instructions will be sent to the address currently associated with your account.

• Follow the instructions outlined in the email.    
• Download one of our supported authenticator app for your smartphone or tablet.
• After setting up your device, enter the verification code generated by the app, please have a look at our troubleshooting article if you encounter any issue.
• Once the feature is successfully set up, you will be presented with six recovery codes; take a screenshot of the codes or copy them down and store them in a secure place.

If you do not have access to a smart mobile device, you can enable this security feature on your email account instead!

You can make changes to the verification method or disable the 2-Step verification at any time. Note that you also have the option to manage trusted devices.
