River Raid game mode in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

With the introduction of the River Raid game mode to Assassin's Creed Valhalla you are able to lead raids on rivers in previously unexplored areas in search for unique rewards. To access the new content, you need to make sure that: Your game has been updated to version 1.1.2 or above. You completed the story arc to claim your first territory. You built the Barracks in your settlement and recruited your own Jomsviking from Eydis. The introductory quest A River to Raid can be started by going to the south east of your settlement and talking to Vagn. Once you have completed A River to Raid you will be able to: Start your own River Raids. Build and upgrade the Jomsviking Hall to recruit new Jomsvikings. Upgrade your River Raid Longship. Upgrading the Jomsviking Hall in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

To upgrade the Jomsviking Hall: • Walk up to the building's sign post and select Interact. • Hold down the Build button. The Jomsviking Hall can be built with as part of the River Raids game mode after completing the quest "A River To Raid". Once built, it will allow you to recruit new Jomsvikings to join your raid crew. The hall can be upgraded multiple times, allowing you access to higher-ranked Jomsviking warriors. Recruiting Jomsvikings for River Raids in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

To recruit more Jomsvikings: • Locate the Jomsviking Hall in Ravensthrope. • Speak to one of the Jomsvikings in the hall. • Select Recruit. Recruitment becomes available once you have completed the River Raid tutorial with Vagn and built the Jomsviking Hall. If you have either hired all available Jomsvikings or if they don't seem to fit into your crew, you can ring the bell outside of the Jomsviking hall to refresh the available warriors. Higher ranked Jomsvikings become available after upgrading the hall. They are able to carry more rations and are more likely to survive skirmishes during the raids. Starting a River Raid in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

To start a River Raid: • Speak to Vagn next to the River Raid Dock in Ravensthrope. • Choose Let's go raiding. • Select one of the available River Raids on the map. • Assign Jomsvikings to any empty slots in your raid rooster. • Select Start Raid. You can start your own River Raids after completing the quest A River To Raid, which introduces you to the game mode. Hiring a crew for a River Raid will cost you 50 silver, if you don't have enough money on you, you will not be able to start the raid. On the crew selection screen you will be able to see any available Jomsvikings as well as the Jomsvikings that have fallen in previous River Raids. Fallen Jomsvikings are the ones you were unable to revive during a raid. They have a red background and if hover over their picture it will tell you how long it will take before they recover. Upgrading the River Raid Longship in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

To upgrade your River Raid Longship: • Speak to Vagn at the River Raid Dock. • Choose Customize ship. • Select Cargo upgrade. • Press and hold Upgrade to complete the process. Cargo upgrade for the River Raid Longship Upgrading the cargo will allow you to carry more foreign supplies from your River Raids. These can be used to upgrade the Jomsviking Hall or buy cosmetic items from Vagn. When you don't have enough foreign supplies, you will have to start more raids and pillage locations before you are able to make any improvements. Let us know if you have any other questions!
